I began teaching for Enid Public Schools at Eisenhower Elementary in August 2012. I am now begininng my sixth year as the first grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary on Vance Air Force Base.
My past teaching experience includes 3 ½ years as a pre-k teacher, 2 years as a kindergarten teacher, 2 years as an intermediate (grades 5-6) counselor and 2 years as a highschool counselor in Texas. In Oklahoma, I have spent 4 ½ years as an early childhood (pre-k through first grade) campus school counselor and 5 years as a first grade teacher.
Who is my first grade teacher...................
Hello my name is Sheri Ingham and I am excited to serve as the first grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary this school year. It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I am looking forward to learning about each of you and your family. Let me share a little about myself. I grew up in the Texas Panhandle and am the baby of the family with 2 brothers who taught me many important things. When I graduated high school I went to college and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement from OPSU many moons ago. Then after spending some time at home being a mom I returned to school and received a Master’s in School Guidance and Counseling from NWOSU. I have enjoyed teaching pre-k, kindergarten and school counseling (5th & 6th grades as well as highschool and prek-1st grades).
My husband, C.B. and I have three amazing kids: Brooke – a labor and delivery nurse in Colorado, Lyndsey – a student at UCO, and Zachary - a Marine who is living his dream, a great son-in-law Shane, four adorable grandchildren – Jack, Elzie, Gabriel and Isaiah; two golden doodles - Hercules & Zoey, two Holland Lop Bunnies - Dennis and Dane, a herd of longhorn cattle and a few horses to keep us busy. When not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and animals, traveling, running, yoga, camping, kayaking, hiking, relaxing & reading. From the moment I first met the staff and parents at Eisenhower Elementary I knew this was a special school where children are encouraged and inspired to be the best they can be. I am excited to spend time getting to know each of my students and families and building first grade friendships as well as assessing current academic levels through out the year to build lessons around.
Sincerely, Sheri Ingham, M.Ed.
